A Pure Love Between Boiled Water and Safeguard

On the day of their business marriage, Su Bai, a rising young star known for her acting, hands a copy of her “Rules for Married Life” to Chen Shu, a tech tycoon famous for being as cool and spotless as “disinfectant incarnate.”

Rule One: Separate bedrooms, opposite sides of the living room, and different times for using the bathroom.

Rule Two: Play along in public, and leave each other alone in private.

Rule Three... If either of us finds true love, this arrangement ends immediately.

Chen Shu scans the terms and signs his name without a word. That very night, though, he quietly replaces all the toiletries at home with the citrus-scented products she usually uses.

Later, a variety show livestream crashes their newlywed home, capturing this scene:

The abstinent CEO is crouched on the floor, carefully using a cotton swab to wipe paint off her finger.

The comments go wild: “So much for a fake marriage! You could practically spin silk from that look!”

Su Bai’s ears turn red as she tries to pull away, but he gently holds her hand. “A tenth clause has been added to the contract: if you get dirty, I’m the one who has to clean you up.”

People say she is like a mild glass of warm water, and he is like aloof Safeguard soap.

But they don’t know that warm water can melt away every last bit of tension, and that the tenderness that seems so antiseptic has already carved out the purest eternity for her.

When the “clear-eyed” glass of warm water meets the “no-go zone for germs” Safeguard soap

This love story may have started with a trial-size label, but in the end, neither of them could find an expiration date.
