Synopsis

A chip is sent from the future to 1970. Recipient: Wang Cuifang, a woman in her early twenties, recently divorced and from a rural village in Northeast China. She has no idea what’s going on: suddenly, something extra is in her mind. She can investigate, defend herself, and attack. With her eyes closed, she can “see” what’s happening across the surrounding villages, and when danger strikes, her body retaliates automatically. But the System’s supernatural abilities must remain secret. She needs a cover identity. And so the village gains a spirit medium who serves the immortals. When someone’s child goes missing, she takes one “look”: the child is in an abandoned brickworks to the southeast. When someone is possessed, she kneels upon entering the house, and when she speaks again, the voice is no longer her own. Nobody questions it. Of course the immortals can see what’s going on. There are two things she must protect. First is the well behind the village. Beneath it lies a passage through time. For thirty years, she must not let any evil energy emerge from it. Second are the people around her: her parents, Tudou, Guixiang, and the villagers who come to her for help. As long as she is Wang Cuifang, these people are her life. This is a science fiction story disguised as a tale of a spirit medium who serves the immortals. There are ghost stories, true events, and a secret one woman protects for thirty years.

Spirit Mediums, with a Powerful and Influential Past Life

Looking for books like The Day I Was Born, Ghosts Roamed the Night, and a Snow Corpse Protected the Way. Anything similar, where the protagonist was powerful and influential in a past life, goes through a lot after reincarnating, and eventually takes brutal revenge on his enemies? The protagonist shouldn't be a bleeding heart or a womanizer.

I'm a New Writer. I've Just Written 80,000 Words for the First Time. Could Someone Give It a Review?

I'd like to read something similar to *The Legend of the Dragon King: Misty Clouds Defying Fate*. It's the author's first time writing a story that's over 80,000 words, and now they want to work hard toward 400,000, aiming for that kind of length. They're bored at home after just finishing their first semester of college, and their writing style...

Why Did It Stop Updating?

Have you ever been engrossed in a book, only for it to suddenly go on hiatus? I was angry for ages, then found out why and suddenly felt so sorry for the author! 😭 *Record of the Six Paths’ Flying Birds* is still beautifully written. The author clearly put a lot of care into it, with no typos or awkward sentences. You can tell the author is in poor health, though...
