Prosecutor Zhang Yuxuan

Thirty-four-year-old prosecutor Zhang Yuxuan is known throughout the city procuratorate as an “iron-faced public prosecutor.” With long, jet-black curls and a confident bearing, she is almost always seen in her crisp prosecutorial uniform. In court, her unshakable reason and airtight chain of evidence leave nowhere for wrongdoing to hide.

From major organized-crime cases to official misconduct, from crimes against minors to disputes affecting people’s livelihoods, she leads her team through mountains of case files and evidence, piecing together the truth while balancing the law with human compassion. Faced with threats, inducements, public pressure, and tests of family loyalty, she holds fast to her principle: “There are no personal favors before the law.” With professionalism and conscience, she defends the dignity of the law.

Beneath her cool, formidable professional exterior lies a warmth all her own. She turns off the glaring overhead lights for underage victims, goes door to door in the neighborhood to mediate disputes, and patiently listens to every concern brought to her by members of the public. She believes that justice is never just a cold legal statute: it is a light that every ordinary person can feel.

When she walks into court with a folder in her hands, or strides resolutely across the flagstones of Hongguo Lane, Zhang Yuxuan shows through her steadfast dedication what it means to be a loyal, incorruptible, and responsible prosecutor in a new era.
