The Chaos Agent on a Dating Show Brings a Fairy-Like Beauty Home

Reborn, Chen Zhu has returned with the memories of his past life and a knack for precise investing. He achieves financial freedom at twenty-eight and resolves to live like a happy slacker. His daily routine: sleep until he wakes naturally, tinker with homemade high-tech gadgets, shoot a few silly videos, and occasionally make snarky comments about trending topics. His life motto is, “Drop your standards and enjoy being a menace.”

Then one day, he discovers that the neighbor in the duplex penthouse he just bought is none other than national goddess Liu Yifei. Even more absurdly, a property management mistake has opened up the balconies between their homes, leaving them in an awkward “half-living-together” situation.

“Hello, I'm Liu Yifei. Could we talk about the balcony?”

“Oh, I'm Chen Zhu. Sure, but I just woke up, so come back in half an hour, unless you want to see me in my pajamas.”

From then on, Chen Zhu's lazy life is completely turned upside down. Liu Yifei's mother, Liu Xiaoli, sees him as a security risk, while her godfather, Chen Jinfei, thinks he has no ambition. As for Liu Yifei herself... she goes from being speechless at first to gradually falling for the man's bizarre way of thinking.

A lifestyle reality show called Winter Sunshine comes knocking, inviting the two to appear as “neighbor partners.” Chen Zhu is ready to turn them down, but the production team offers him a slacker's contract where he can “make money while lying down.”

“Meals and accommodation included, and all I have to do is show my real life?”

“That's right, and you don't have to put on an act.”

“Why didn't you say so earlier? I could laze around until the show goes bankrupt.”

And so, viewers get to see a tech nerd use a homemade robot to bring the goddess breakfast, play pranks with holographic projections, and openly slack off on a variety show, only to unexpectedly go viral for being “genuine and unpretentious.”
