After Becoming a Housekeeper for a Down-and-Out Big Shot

To pay off the enormous debt her father left behind, Jiang Mian becomes a highly paid, all-around nanny. She takes on a “special” job: her employer, Lu Xingzhi, is a “poor single dad” with a five-year-old son, living in a shabby old apartment borrowed from a friend and apparently doing nothing with his life.

Feeling sorry for him, Jiang Mian puts her skills to work. She haggles at the market, patches old clothes, and teaches this “down-and-out young master” how to manage daily life. She even steps in when the male lead is bullied by “debt collectors” who are actually his subordinates.

Lu Xingzhi has been concealing his identity to avoid a family power struggle and protect his son, but he finds himself drawn to this penny-pinching nanny who fiercely stands up for those she cares about.

As the story unfolds, Jiang Mian discovers that all the “fakes” in her employer’s home are genuine antiques, and that the “poor relative” who’s always freeloading on meals is actually a real estate tycoon. When Jiang Mian is humiliated by someone who once held her debt, Lu Xingzhi drops his disguise and reveals his trillion-yuan fortune, stunning the entire city. The second half of the story follows the emotional push and pull after his identity is revealed, the battles among the wealthy, and the two of them joining forces to take down the villains.
