The Top-Tier Star's Personal Bodyguard Is an Absolute Badass

Former special forces soldier Shen Nanqiao was forced to retire. To raise a huge sum for medical expenses, she takes a high-paying but difficult job: serving as top-tier star Jiang Chi's personal bodyguard around the clock. Jiang Chi is hugely popular but has countless haters, and lately he's been receiving frequent death threats.

At first, Shen Nanqiao only wants to be an emotionless security machine. She remains unmoved by Jiang Chi's provocations and advances, relying on her formidable combat skills and counter-surveillance abilities to defuse one crisis after another. She shines at variety show shoots, on-set disruptions, award ceremonies, and more, unexpectedly becoming an online sensation for her “cool, poker-faced badass” image.

As they grow closer, Shen Nanqiao discovers that beneath Jiang Chi's devil-may-care facade lies an obsession with the person who saved his life years ago: Shen Nanqiao herself. Meanwhile, the threats against Jiang Chi escalate from pranks to serious crimes entangled with feuds between wealthy families. As she protects Jiang Chi, Shen Nanqiao gradually heals from her post-combat trauma. In the end, she brings the mastermind to justice and finds a love with someone who can match her as an equal.
