Rule Horror: A Wedding Night from the Start? Su Zhen, Show Some Restraint

Chen Yunsheng, a haunted-house tester, pushes open the door of a remote old mansion for the sake of his final payment.

But beyond the door is no haunted house. It is a wedding hall decked out in red!

A red-clad paper doll cries, "Bow to heaven and earth!" A stunning bride glares at him with murderous intent, and beneath his feet lies the corpse of Xu Xian, the previous man to play the role.

This is a terrifying loop scenario based on The Legend of the White Snake. If he doesn't play his part, he dies.

Faced with a snake demon bride who wants to consummate their marriage to overcome her tribulation, Chen Yunsheng pulls out a prenuptial agreement.

He treats survival like a business deal and Bai Suzhen like his most difficult client.

Using commercial contracts and modern marketing tactics, he sets out to revive the haunted city of Lin'an.

While others fight to survive, he makes money. While others exorcise ghosts, he hires them.

When Xiaoqing sends him poisoned wine, he turns it into medicinal liquor and sells it to ghosts for a profit.

When Fahai tries to flood Jinshan Temple to fix a "bug," Chen Yunsheng brandishes the deeds to the entire city:

"I'm afraid that's not possible, Master Fahai. I own 51 percent of Lin'an, so I'm the majority shareholder.

How about I outsource Jinshan Temple to you and put you on the payroll?"
