The Netherworld Teahouse

(The first in a series about two male leads. I may continue it or rewrite it in the future!)

“My memories were refined into an elixir that lets immortals prolong their lives.”

The day Liu Wangyou had all his memories stolen, Xie Bi’an swore by the banks of the River of Forgetfulness:

“I’ll smash the Thirty-Three Heavens to pieces, inch by inch, if that’s what it takes to get your story back.”

Fan Wujiao added, “And if we can’t get it back, I’ll make the Jade Emperor write a self-criticism!”

The Underworld’s most unhinged debt-collecting team was officially on the scene.

A string of amnesia cases in the shantytowns. Every victim had visited the same teahouse before dying.

Black Impermanence Xie Bi’an goes undercover to investigate,

but the storyteller Liu Wangyou’s “Ballad of Rebirth” stirs memories of his past life.

It turns out he’s the real “key to memory” behind it all.

“In a netherworld where memories are currency,

a storyteller and Black Impermanence overturn the Heavenly Court’s immortality scheme.”
