Fate-Reversing Bones: The Record of Slaying Buddha, Equal to Heaven

The title of Victorious Fighting Buddha was an inscription on a cage; becoming a Buddha was no path to enlightenment, but a brand burned into a butcher’s block. He came from a primordial stone and lived through nine cycles of reincarnation, dying nine times. Every rebirth served only to offer the saints a fresh source of essence. The sacrifices of the Dragon-Han Calamity, the deaths of the Lich Calamity, the destruction of the Investiture of the Gods Calamity, the manipulation of the Journey to the West Calamity: the saints wielded calamities as blades, carving his divine soul into pieces on a game board and grinding the people of the Primordial World into dust. The Buddha-light of Spirit Mountain was a soul-devouring miasma; the celestial music of the Heavenly Court was a death knell; the Old Lord’s elixirs were bone-corroding poison. When the remains of all nine lives came together as one, the stone monkey shed his docile skin. Wherever the Golden Cudgel pointed, there lay the heads of saints and Buddhas; wherever his fiery golden eyes fell, he saw nothing but hypocritical faces. Leading the bones of the Primordial World, he trampled the eye of the reincarnation formation, slew Buddhas, beheaded saints, and defied the Heavenly Dao. In the name of slaying Buddhas, he proved the Way of Victorious Fighting, so that not an inch of the Primordial World would ever again echo with the cries of its people.
