Tomb Raiding: Unearthing Zhang Xiaoge's 10,000-Year-Old Coffin from the Start

There is a shop on East Street in Qingshan City where mosquito-repelling talismans sell better than spirit-gathering talismans. The young master of the shop, Wu Xie, is at the third level of Qi Refining. He has been stuck at the "Mortal-to-Immortal Barrier" for seven years without making a breakthrough. Every day, he scrolls through jade slips to watch people argue, eating his fill and waiting to die.

Then one day, a jade slip fell from the sky.

The message his Third Uncle left behind after vanishing ten years ago, the lotus mark growing in his palm, and the truth behind the blood fiends' abyss in the northwest, where someone had spent ten years blocking the gate with their life: Wu Xie is dragged into a script written ten thousand years ago. Zhang Qiling carries the Returning Spirit Sword, marked by three cracks, and says he has waited for him for ten thousand years. Wang Pangzi clutches a compass and says the Northern School owes the Wu family a life. Chen Blind sits in a mass grave telling fortunes and says his main business is making people owe their lives.

From the bronze gate deep within the earth's veins to the petrified altar in Wangjia Valley, from the immortal's left hand sealed for ten thousand years inside a submerged coffin at the bottom of a lake to the one-way seal his Third Uncle personally affixed deep in a mine, every step has been calculated in advance. The twelve seats in the inner hall of the Wang family intercept and attack them along the way. Remnants of the Demon Kingdom's forbidden arts bloom everywhere, while the jade slips, submerged coffin, bronze whistle, and seals left behind by Third Uncle are all signposts.

This is no tomb robbery. It is a relay of locksmiths spanning ten thousand years. The Wu family's blood is the key, and the Zhang family's blade is the lock's core. The ascension platform beyond the gate is no immortal paradise. It is a trap. And before the lotus mark devours his entire body, the young master of the talisman shop on this side of the gate must decide whether to save someone or trade his life for theirs.

"If you see it, run. Whatever you do, don't look back," Third Uncle said.

He didn't run.
