The Fake Eunuch: The Empress Can Hear My Thoughts

Lin Chen transmigrated into the body of a fake eunuch in the castration chamber. He hid a blood pouch in his pants and escaped the knife, thinking the worst hurdle of his life was behind him.

Then the empress arrived.

She passed by in a black dragon robe, stopped, and turned around. At that moment, a thought popped into his head: Her waist is so slender. What a shame I’m a fake eunuch.

She stared at him for three breaths, said nothing, and left.

The next day, an imperial decree arrived: he was specifically summoned to serve tea in the Imperial Study.

Kneeling on the tiles, Lin Chen watched the empress review memorials. The Ministry of Revenue submitted three thousand words of flowery prose requesting funds. She approved it. The Ministry of Rites submitted a pompous impeachment of a county magistrate. She rejected it. The Ministry of War reported an emergency on the frontier. She wrote eight words, exactly the same as the ones he’d just thought.

It’s over. She can hear my thoughts. That mouth in my head never shuts up, and she’s heard everything. Including what I just thought about how beautiful the empress’s waist was, that the whole court was full of corrupt officials, and “I want to rebel. No, I was just venting, Your Majesty, let me explain!”
