The Forbidden Bloodshed in the Ancestral Home

Su Yu, an urban office worker, travels to a remote ancient village to fulfill her grandfather's dying wish. She expects a journey to find her roots, but discovers that the village is shrouded in eerie taboos: no going out at night, no entering the back hills, and, above all, no mention of “the fire a hundred years ago”! A rational woman like her cannot let superstition hold her back. She steps outside in the middle of the night, only to encounter a wandering shadow, and strange events follow one after another in her ancestral home. The village doctor, Chen Mo, reveals the horrifying truth behind the taboos and the missing villagers. When fragments of her grandfather's diary surface, a century-old bloody case comes to light: a horrific arson sparked by a fight over water was covered up by survivors, who invented the “taboos” to conceal their crimes and even formed a mysterious group called the “Guardians of the Taboos”! As the flame of truth is kindled, the guardians stop at nothing to intimidate and kidnap Su Yu, hoping to silence her forever. But she refuses to back down. Together with Chen Mo and Xiao Ya, she vows to tear apart this century-old lie and let sunlight shine once more on the village shrouded in darkness!
