Seeing early-stage infected creatures lurking in the sewers and hearing news broadcasts proclaiming peace, Lin Yue abandoned the idea of looking out for himself alone. An individual's power was limited; only by relying on the nation could he protect hundreds of millions of his fellow citizens. Foreign powers coveted the technology, mercenaries took reckless risks, mutated deep-sea creatures stirred, and an alien shadow lurked behind the apocalypse.
