Starting from Zero, Beatrice Forced Her Love on Me!

[Re: Zero World] [Adorable Beatrice] [Little Brat] "Come take a look, everyone. What do you think of what I wrote?"

The late-summer cicadas' cries still clung to the convenience store's glass door. Laya clutched a pink lollipop, her fingertips stained with a little melted sugar.

She was lowering her head to peel off the wrapper, her cheeks faintly flushed, when the commotion beside her startled her.

It was Natsuki Subaru. He had a bulging plastic bag tucked under his arm, stuffed with rice balls and soda. With a popsicle in his mouth, he was gesticulating wildly as he rambled about anime bonus merchandise.

"Laya, hurry up! If you keep dawdling, all the bonus items will be gone!"

Natsuki Subaru was loud enough to draw curious glances from passersby. Laya hurriedly waved her hands and murmured timidly, "Subaru... Keep your voice down, okay? It's so, so embarrassing."

The convenience store lights began flashing wildly. The plastic bag in Natsuki Subaru's hand rustled loudly. He instinctively grabbed Laya by the wrist, his cry of surprise catching in his throat.

Laya felt the world spin. Her lollipop rolled to the ground, and a crushing sense of weightlessness swept over her.

When she opened her eyes again, the familiar streets were gone!

Only a sky full of stars hung overhead. Dewy grass lay beneath them, and Natsuki Subaru had fallen beside her.

The plastic bag had a hole in it, and rice balls were scattered everywhere. He stared wide-eyed and murmured, "W-what is this?"
