Your archenemy, your beloved, and your prison are all yourself.
Weisheng Yanheng and Weisheng Jingxi are twin brothers, warped by the forbidden art of soul embroidery. The younger brother's memories dwell in the elder's eyes, while the elder brother's rhythms beat in the younger's heart. They are each other's only cure, and a poison woven into their bones that no medicine can heal.
A ceremony to bind off the final stitches casts them out of their twisted embroidery tower and into the infinite hell known as the Myriad Loom. The System sees them as high-risk errors in need of urgent repair. Their teammates are their only lifeline, and every bizarre, fantastical instance gathers data for a final trial.
In “Model Family,” they witness control. In “Judgment in the Mirror,” they face their own evil. In “Twin Blossoms,” they rehearse their coming confrontation... They struggle to survive, unaware that they are moving step by step toward the execution ground prepared by the System: the eighth instance, “Nowhere.”
Here, the System will create a perfect mirror image for each of them: an optimized version stripped of all pain, personal attachment, and discord. The only condition for the original to survive is to make that more perfect self disappear in a way that seems reasonable.
“Brother, tell me...” Jingxi says with a sweet smile, stroking Yanheng's cold face, though chaotic terror churns in his eyes. “This ragged ‘double-sided embroidery’ of ours and the System's gleaming ‘standard answer’: which one of us deserves... to live?”
This is an extermination campaign waged against oneself. Do they embrace a perfection defined for them, or defend a flawed reality? When a butterfly tries to break free of wings stitched in place, will it be destroyed, or... tear apart the entire tapestry?
