Sheep Guard 11: Blue Marks and Star Sand

He is the dark-blue demon who tears worlds apart. Once a boy called Alan, he was betrayed by his own kind and forged into a flame of hatred. Now he wants every world to plunge into darkness with him. After all, “fairness” means that no one gets to escape unbroken. Until she falls into his world. Yan, a girl from between the worlds, clutches a bottle beneath her gray-blue hoodie. Star sand swirls inside it, holding not light but captured fragments of emotion. As the sand shifts, it reveals the warmth of his fingertips bandaging a butterfly’s broken wing, the scent of wheat on his cheek when he shared half a bun, and the last bit of blue on the horizon the day he was made a scapegoat… The memories he burned with his own hands have become thorns buried in the darkness. “Why turn painful wounds into weapons?” “You don’t know what it’s like to be abandoned by the whole world.” From clashing head-on to star sand catching in his dark-blue fur, from “You should disappear with them” to “There’s almost no room left in the star sand for your memories,” they trudge across broken earth, resisting the dark energy that devours everything with a faint glimmer of light. His redemption was never about becoming Alan again. It was about finally daring to admit that the tenderness he trampled, the hurt he never voiced, and the blue hidden deep within his blood-red eyes were all worthy of being embraced. Like the light of the star sand, born from the deepest rift and burning through the darkness, it isn’t there to illuminate the way. It gives him the courage to face the warmth within himself, a warmth that has never gone out. A fanfic of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf 11, written to make up for a regret. A redemption-focused pairing: Lan x Yan.
