I’m Just Making a Long March Game, Yet the Whole Internet Begs Me Not to Kill Anyone Off

[System + Gaming + Historical Era + Passion + Love of Country]

Top game designer Lin Mo transmigrates into a parallel world with the “Historical Game Recreation System” in hand. The gaming industry here is peaceful and harmonious. Too peaceful, in fact: players have never experienced anything truly breathtaking.

While every other company is still making pay-to-win games, Lin Mo quietly opens his game editor. “I’m making something more than just a game.”

The Long March: 1934 bursts onto the scene, featuring 100% realistic pain, 100% historical accuracy, and a 100% physiological response system. Players are stunned within their first minute in the game: “Your feet actually bleed when your straw sandals rub them raw? You get shaky hands and blurry vision after three days without food? What the hell is this, a game or boot camp?!”

The industry scoffs: “He’s asking for failure! Who would play a game that tortures them?”

Then, on the first day, a hundred thousand players emerge from their game pods in silence. By the end of the first week, historians have sent a joint letter of thanks. A month later, a veteran weeps in the game: “That’s exactly what it was like back then...”

When overseas players beg for an international server, when the National Historical Archives actively seek a partnership, and when the game becomes required hands-on material for history classes in primary and secondary schools across the country

Lin Mo stands on the awards stage and looks out at the crowd of players. “This is what games are meant to be.”
