Bright Sword: Selling Arms from the Start, Building the Strongest Eighth Route Army

Top military industry expert Lin Mo carries with him an unfulfilled dream of making his country strong when he unexpectedly transmigrates into the war-torn world of Bright Sword, becoming a starving, freezing refugee. As he witnesses the Japanese invaders’ atrocities and grieves over the Eighth Route Army’s desperate reliance on millet and rifles, the [Great Power Rise Military Industry Support System] activates with a bang!

An arms store? Prices so low they’re absurd! PPShs, Maxims, T-34 parts, future blueprints... It has everything!

Resource scanning? Iron ore, copper ore, and the Japanese army’s hidden arms depots are all revealed without exception!

Technical analysis? Reverse engineering and domestic mass production mean the day they go from receiving aid to producing their own supplies is just around the corner!

Li Yunlong’s eyes go round. “Brother Lin, you really are our Old Li’s God of Wealth! You’re giving us these guns for free?”

Lin Mo pushes up his nonexistent glasses. “Commander Li, talking money ruins the friendship. One bag of millet for a battalion’s worth of equipment. Deal?”

And so the New First Regiment’s Japanese light machine guns are replaced with roaring PPShs, crude hand grenades are upgraded to minefields as dense as a rainstorm, and the captured Type 92 infantry guns? They’re just the appetizer! Ping’an County? I’ll blast open the gates with homegrown Katyushas!

Chu Yunfei watches the Eighth Route Army’s steel torrent through his binoculars. His teacup slips from his hand and crashes to the floor. “Th-this is still the ragtag Eighth Route Army? Lin Mo is a man of unfathomable depths!”

In their desperate telegrams, Japanese commanders wail: “Demons! They’re armed with the weapons of demons! Request tactical guidance... No! Request permission to fight to the death!”
