The Yin-Yang Pawnshop: I Just Want to Collect Some Evil Spirits to Stay Alive

Lu Huaisha takes over a yin-yang pawnshop that opens only at midnight, forced to become a pawnshop owner feared by ghosts. His life is tied to his business performance: he must complete three special transactions involving cursed objects or vengeful spirits every month, or his body will turn transparent and vanish completely. To stay alive, this former graduate student of folklore has to rack his brains, peddling pawn services to all kinds of demons and ghosts.

"Auntie, pawn your obsession at 20% off, and we'll throw in an express reincarnation pass!"

"Hey, water ghost over there, don't rush to claim a life. How about trading your resentment for an apartment?"

Amid everyday horrors and hilarity, Lu Huaisha travels to every shadowy corner of the city with an oddball crew: a nitpicking female folklore PhD, a retired, steel-straight cop, and a delivery guy with yin-yang eyes. He gradually discovers that behind every terrifying ghostly visage lies an unfulfilled longing from the human world.

As the Seven Sinister Relics, dormant for a hundred years, awaken one by one, and his rival, the Nameless One, lays a deadly trap, Lu Huaisha must make a choice in the face of desperation: follow the pawnshop's cold rules and become a heartless "balancer," or risk his life to find a real way forward for all the unresolved pain and deep affection he has witnessed?

This is the story of a death-fearing office drone who cracks jokes for dear life in a terrifying world, and along the way, saves others and himself. Here you'll find strange tales from a pawnshop open at midnight, joys and sorrows exchanged for objects, and one simple truth: the heaviest debts in this world are often not debts of money, but debts of love.
