Hardcore Doomsday Survival: I’m Rebuilding Human Civilization

“We have no System and no superpowers. All we have is the instinct to survive.”

On the seventh day of the zombie outbreak, the city fell silent. Xie Mingyuan, owner of an outdoor gear store, watched the figures wandering outside and wrote the first rule of survival in his notebook: Trust is a luxury, and he was so broke he didn’t even know where he’d find food tomorrow.

This is no legend of a hero’s awakening, but an epic of ordinary people struggling to survive.

When civilization collapsed in a week, the power grid went dark, the water supply was contaminated, and the roads became graveyards. Twenty-nine-year-old veteran reconnaissance soldier Xie Mingyuan had to rely on the most basic skills to stay alive: turning a trekking pole into a spear, using a rainwater collector to stave off thirst, and measuring the rhythm of footsteps and heartbeats on every supply run. He went from being alone to meeting Chu Xinyue, a nurse, and Meng Changhe, an engineer, and forming a battered team of survivors.

They crossed cities turned into hellscapes in search of the safe zone promised by the government. But after a migration along a road paved with blood and flesh, they discovered that the supposed refuge had already fallen. On the night their hopes were shattered, Xie Mingyuan made a decision that would change everyone’s fate: “If there’s no safe zone in this world, we’ll build one ourselves.”
