My Two-Faced Childhood Friend Cries and Flirts

[Sweet-faced, dark-hearted, unhinged, teary-eyed top x gentle, powerful, universally adored bottom]

I weave the web with care, and you willingly walk into the cage.

Everyone in the capital knows that Shen Jinglan, heir to the Duke of Zhenguo, is a radiant young man, an adored prodigy whose only weakness is his childhood friend, Xie Yunshen, a sickly man who cannot bear to be apart from him.

Xie Yunshen cries easily and seems fragile, the beauty mark beneath his eye only adding to his air of vulnerability. Whenever Shen Jinglan is surrounded by admirers, he murmurs with reddened eyes, “A-Yan, am I just in the way?” That is all it takes to earn the heir's full tenderness and attention.

Shen Jinglan has always believed he protects this delicate flower of his own free will. He clears away trouble for him, turns down every admirer, and even loses all composure with worry when Xie Yunshen is badly hurt after “taking a sword blow” for him.

Until one day, Shen Jinglan accidentally discovers Xie Yunshen's secret letters. They lay out every scheme from the past several years in clear detail, including that “perfectly timed” act of self-sacrifice.

When he confronts him in shock, the always-pitiful crybaby turns around and pins him in place. Those once-innocent eyes are bottomless; hot tears trickle down the side of his neck as Xie Yunshen speaks in a husky, dangerous voice:

“Yes, I lied to you for more than ten years. My frailty was an act, and my tears were fake.”

“But my love for you... is real.”

“Are you going to abandon me now?”
