With his life counting down, Song Mian calmly prepares to die. But in a little bar inside the Arctic Circle, a boy claiming to be a wandering singer derails all his plans with a song called “Clouds of Home.”

Meng Tianyi is like a blazing little sun, forcing his way into Song Mian’s gray, lifeless world. “It’s too lonely on your own. How about we team up?” From then on, they watch the aurora in Iceland and sunsets in Greece, embracing at the edge of the world.

Song Mian thinks this is nothing more than one grand act of end-of-life care. He proceeds cautiously, hiding his medical records and counting down the days. He greedily clings to this warmth even as he prepares to quietly leave before the end.

Until he disappears without a word, leaving behind only a letter of farewell.

Meng Tianyi holds the letter, his eyes reddening, yet he laughs. “Song Mian, you liar.” The next moment, he calls the family number he has never used before. “Use every resource we have. Help me find someone.”

When the little sun brings his true power to bear, searching half the globe, he finally finds his beloved on a snowy night in Norway, barely clinging to life.

“Song Mian,” he says, holding the thin, frail body tightly. His voice trembles, but his resolve does not. “Your way home can only lead to me.”
