Back to 1982: The Loving Hunter and His Five Darling Daughters

On the winter solstice of 2025, in Caoshan Village in the Xing'an Mountains, seventy-year-old Cao Wenxuan died weeping blood at his late wife's grave. His life had been consumed by regret. He had trusted his stepmother's poisonous whispers and adopted his nephew in pursuit of an illusory heir, neglecting his wife and daughters in the process. In the end, his family was shattered, and he spent his final years in misery.

When he opened his eyes again, he had returned to the winter of 1982! Before him lay his wife, weak and helpless after giving birth. On the kang sat his five scrawny, timid daughters. And in his ears rang his stepmother's hypocritical voice, once again pressuring him to adopt a son!

This time, Cao Wenxuan finally saw the truth! He severed ties with a cleaver, stood up to his biased father, and beat his scheming stepmother at her own game, shattering the plots of those who called themselves family! He took up his hunting rifle and his responsibilities, venturing deep into the forests and snowy wilderness. Snares, pits, shots that drew blood... hares, roe deer, wild boars, even sable, all became a means of supporting his family.

He would make sure his five daughters had enough to eat and warm clothes to wear, send them to school, and help his long-suffering wife stand tall. Everyone who had ever bullied, humiliated, or betrayed him would pay a hundredfold in this life!

This is the story of a tough northeastern man reborn to atone for his sins, using his hunting rifle and sheer grit to carve out a place for his wife and daughters in the Xing'an Mountains of the 1980s, and turn his life around with blood and iron!
