The Isle of Forgetting: I Am the Deserted Island

I wake up on the beach of a deserted island, with a diary I wrote in 1874 beside me. A girl's body is lifted by the skeleton of a giant whale on the seabed. She asks me, "Are you the island, or this round's survival game contestant?" I am both the stage and the actor. Every time I drive a survivor mad with a historical tragedy, my island grows a little larger. Every time I let a survivor go, a piece of my body crumbles away. Only when the last companion chooses to stay with me do I understand: the ultimate reward in this survival game is either to become a god or to fall into nothingness.
