Thunderstruck: I Made a New Alt and Got Struck into World of Warcraft

Welcome to Azeroth, friend! When Gu Yuan was blasted away by his computer, which crackled with sparks and lightning, he thought his life had finally become a complete lie-flat existence. When he opened his eyes again, he heard the familiar background music of Northshire Valley and saw “living” players chasing after wild boars. That's right, he'd been sent to World of Warcraft along with his freshly created mage alt by a rather inconsiderate bolt of lightning. It may have taken along his best friend, who'd just stopped by to borrow some soy sauce, too. However, this Azeroth was a little too “hardcore.” Kobold candles really did burn your ass, the murloks' “wha-la-wha-la” cries meant they were getting ready to eat, and the legendary Headless Horseman... damn it, he was actually stealing pumpkins! Those so-called easy experience bags now looked at him like he was a little cookie. Faced with a world where you could bleed, go hungry, and actually be eaten by monsters, Gu Yuan and his unfortunate buddy clutched each other and wailed: “I just wanted to quietly be a corporate drone. Why do I still have to work hard after transmigrating?” “Help! Why can't this Stealth skill make me invisible to real-world awkwardness?” But they soon realized that in a universe filled with the Twisting Nether, the Shadowlands, countless planes, and all kinds of messed-up timelines, two more visitors from another world were practically insignificant. So the two young men of the lie-flat generation were forced to get moving in Azeroth. After all, the prerequisite for lying flat is... that you have to be alive to lie down.
