Claiming the Immortal Destiny

Ling Yan is born in a remote mountain village in the mortal realm. He has a mixed spiritual root, seemingly a good-for-nothing, but in truth he possesses the rare Chaos Spirit Body, which has yet to awaken. Orphaned at a young age, he scrapes by through hunting and gathering medicinal herbs. When demonic beasts attack his village, Ling Yan unexpectedly saves a wandering outer-sect steward of the Qingyun Sect. In return, he receives half of an incomplete copy of the Qi Guidance Art and an entry token. To survive and avenge his village, he sets out on the path of cultivation, bound for the Qingyun Sect.
