The Travels of a Rowdy Rascal

My name is Li Ergou. I make a living as a layabout, and my life's ambition is to coast along until I die.

Then my hometown was demolished, and my parents left me a brick with “Great Sage Equal to Heaven was here” written on it.

That night, a socially connected monkey in a floral shirt sprang out of the brick and insisted I was the chosen one destined to seek scriptures.

To escape my debts, I hopped on a shared bike and rode onto the highway.

Then came the Earth God on a tractor, Zhu Bajie in a Wuling Hongguang, and Sha Seng, who insisted on putting a gold chain around my neck...

I looked back and shouted, “Brothers, I'm really not Tang Seng!”

Brother Monkey pinned me down. “Quit whining. There's a toll booth up ahead. Scan the code first!”
