A Fortune-Teller's Immortal Cultivation Journey

Li Tie has lived with his grandfather since childhood in a remote, poor mountain village. One day, while gathering firewood in the mountains, he is caught in a heavy rainstorm and chased by a huge snake. Panicking, he loses his footing and tumbles into a cave. In a small hole in the corner, he discovers a wooden box containing a book called The Fuxi Book of Divination and three copper coins. He takes them home and studies them intently, only to learn that the book can not only be used for fortune-telling, but also records basic cultivation techniques, including a method for practicing qi and a few simple spells. This is his greatest secret, and he decides never to tell anyone. From then on, Li Tie learns to tell fortunes using the book, and his predictions grow increasingly accurate.
