I Was Just Delivering Takeout, So How Did I Become the Lord of the Abyss?

To pay off his parents’ enormous gambling debts, Su Yang becomes a delivery driver as soon as he turns eighteen, making deliveries exclusively to the “Happy Apartment,” a building that has vanished from the map.

The orders here are strange:

[Room 304 needs a serving of “first love’s tears.” Note: Make sure they’re salty.]

[Room 404 needs three jin of “fresh fear.” Note: No screaming, it ruins the flavor.]

[The top floor needs a cup of “forgotten time.” Note: No ice, thanks.]

Su Yang discovers that as long as he can deliver the orders, no matter how absurd they are, the rewards are frighteningly generous. For the money, he’s all in! He steals the tears of the campus beauty who just got dumped, collects the fear of visitors at a haunted house… He’ll do anything.

He doesn’t know that the “Happy Apartment” is a transit station connecting the human world to the Abyss, and that all its residents are terrifying beings from the Abyss. He is the only “legendary deliveryman” in a hundred years capable of delivering “conceptual” orders.

With every delivery, he gains a little more authority over the Abyss.

Until one day, the “Holy Order of Knights,” who hunt Abyssal creatures, surrounds the apartment, only to see Su Yang holding “Fear” in his left hand and “Despair” in his right as he yells at the building: “Whose order is this? If you don’t come down and pick it up, I’m leaving a bad review!”

At that moment, the holy light of every knight trembles.
