The Symbiotic Bacteria Crisis

In the future, humanity relies on “symbiotic bacteria” to stay healthy, and Chen Jun develops bacterial treatments. One day, she discovers that the experimental bacteria have suddenly mutated. Those infected lose their emotions, and strange patterns appear on the treatment bottles, the exact same designs found in the notes her father left behind before he disappeared.

Chen Jun investigates in secret and discovers that the “primordial symbiotic bacteria” her father studied could give people superpowers, but also make them lose control. She finds her father's secret laboratory and discovers a recording in a petri dish: “The mutated bacteria are searching for their ‘master.’ Only your blood can suppress them.” Just then, the laboratory suddenly loses power. The mutated bacteria spread through the pipes, and the same patterns as those on the treatment bottles appear on Chen Jun's arm. At last, she understands: she is the “master” her father spoke of.
