Qin Yue Cradles a Baby: A Transmigrated Childcare Worker’s Love in a Turbulent Age

Zhang Ya, a modern-day award-winning nanny, is renowned in her field for her professionalism, gentleness, and patience. Every baby in her care grows up healthy and bright. A sudden laboratory accident sends her, with her modern childcare expertise and emergency skills, to the Qin Dynasty, newly emerged from years of war. When she wakes, she finds herself in the wilderness, where she comes across Zhao Heng, an abandoned noble infant. His frail cries awaken the instincts ingrained in her by years on the job.

To survive and protect the baby in her arms, Zhang Ya relies on her advanced childcare methods: scientific feeding, carefully planned complementary foods, and early learning. She struggles to find her footing in this unfamiliar age. She sterilizes things with boiled water, makes simple homemade food to soothe the baby's stomach, and sings nursery rhymes to calm him. These “strange” practices not only save Zhao Heng, but also catch the attention of Ying Zhao, a general who guards the region.

Ying Zhao is a hardened, iron-willed man, yet family tragedy has given him a soft spot for children. He is drawn to Zhang Ya's unusual approach to childcare and her resilient independence. In this chaotic age, Zhang Ya must face the many challenges of raising a child in ancient times, from scarce medicine and supplies to clashing beliefs, while also navigating court intrigue and local conflicts. She uses modern wisdom to defuse crises and her gentle nature to bring warmth to those around her. Ying Zhao, meanwhile, gives her a safe haven. His curiosity and admiration gradually deepen into love.

When a modern nanny meets a battle-hardened Qin Dynasty general, love across time quietly blossoms amid the daily work of raising a child. Together, they face war, political schemes, and prejudice. Zhang Ya not only safeguards the child's growth with her love and expertise, but also finds a home and a profound love of her own in this distant age.
