I Transmigrated to the Sixties: My Persona Is a Mountain Spirit

Shen Qichi was born into the 1960s after transmigrating from the apocalypse, becoming the most cherished youngest daughter of the Shen family. Her only remaining plant ability was to accelerate growth, and she planned to keep a low profile and live quietly in the countryside. When she was four, she met Lu Xingye, who had come to the village with his family. Though the boy was only two months older than her, he already had a quiet, composed air about him. He would always sit quietly not far from her, his clear eyes focused on her as they looked past the children at play. Beneath the old locust tree at the village entrance, he walked up to her for the first time. His small figure carried a calmness beyond his years. He said to her, “Shen Qichi, let’s stay together from now on.” She looked at this overly serious little grown-up and smiled, her eyes curving. “Sure. Then you can call me Xixi.” He looked at her radiant smile and nodded, calling her clearly, “Xixi.” That name, “Xixi,” stayed with them from their childish voices into the clear tones of adolescence. Over the years they spent together, the buds she quietly coaxed into growing and the intelligence he gradually revealed intertwined to create a secret world of their own. The promise they made in childhood quietly took root through years of companionship, nurturing a deeper affection. Years later, on a quiet afternoon, he set down the pen with which he had been sketching the future and looked at her, gentle and resolute. “Xixi, walking up to you when I was four was the best decision I ever made.”
