Reborn in Hong Kong: My Mad Dog Brother Bit Someone Again Today

In a nutshell: She thought she was teasing a cat, never realizing the cat was a wolf in disguise. Ji Jinhuan, the Ji family’s wildest heiress. The only thing that’s ever given her a headache is the arranged marriage her family set up for her. She hears the match is He Youyi, a young master from Hong Kong’s He family. She figures, “It’s just an alliance. We’ll go through the motions and get it over with.” That is, until she meets He Youyi at the airport. This guy is exactly her type. She decides the marriage can go ahead, but only on her terms. So she starts flirting with him. She tugs at his tie, leans in to smell his cologne, and makes suggestive remarks in front of everyone. How does He Youyi react? He takes half a step back, calmly straightens his tie, and says in a cool voice, “Miss Ji, our families arranged this meeting. Just play along. There’s no need to be so enthusiastic.” Ji Jinhuan: ??? What does he mean, “Just play along”? If anything, that only makes her more determined. She’ll see just how long he can keep up the act. What she doesn’t know is this: He Youyi isn’t pretending not to care. He’s reborn, carrying memories of her falling off a cliff because of him in their previous life, and of the lifelong regret that followed. In this life, all he wants is to hold on to her. But he knows all too well that, with Ji Jinhuan’s personality, if he throws himself at her right away, she’ll get bored in three minutes. So he has to pretend. Pretend to be casual, pretend not to care. Until one day, she slips her arm through someone else’s right in front of him. He Youyi sets down his teacup and gives her a cool glance without saying a word. That night, he corners Ji Jinhuan in the hallway, brushes his thumb over the corner of her mouth, and asks in a husky voice, “You did that on purpose, huh?” Ji Jinhuan’s heart skips a beat. “...Weren’t you supposed to not care?” He Youyi fixes his gaze on her, the corner of his mouth curling up. “I was pretending.”
