The Good-for-Nothing Five Elements Detective's Hilarious Case Files

The Five-Element Good-for-Nothings' Hilarious Case Files

In Yongxing Ward, the capital of the Great Yin dynasty, the Five-Element Agency is famous far and wide, mostly for being unreliable.

Chief Shen Qingci, an heir to the Water Sect, spends her days using ice spells to chill watermelons. Fire Master Kou Yang uses his Samadhi True Fire mainly to light cigarettes. A Ruan of the Metal Sect uses all his Geng Metal energy to open beer bottles. Pang Dahai of the Earth Sect mainly uses his earth-traveling technique to hide from his landlord. Qing Dai, a wood spirit, uses her ability to sense plants and trees to peek at the next chapter of the storyteller next door's novel.

These five good-for-nothings, abandoned by their sects, take on all sorts of bizarre unsolved cases. They analyze resentful energy using hotpot broth, treat crime scenes like charging stations, and solve century-old mysteries while gnawing on chicken feet. What they don't know is that each case they casually solve is quietly exposing a plot that could topple the dynasty...
