The Nine Palaces’ Classic of Mountains and Seas

Completed Eastern Fantasy and Classic Xuanhuan

Any Recommendations for Traditional Fantasy?

I’m looking for a classic story where the male lead starts out as a good-for-nothing, then breaks through and moves on to a new map, joining a sect or academy. There are all kinds of rankings, and most importantly, a continent-wide competition like the Three Thousand Provinces Tournament or the Hundred Dynasties War. Just the classic formula.
