The Laid-Back Immortal Venerable and the Cold-Faced System

The System is forcing me to become an Immortal Venerable, but all I want is to lie flat. After I was reborn as a cultivation good-for-nothing, I bound myself to a cold-faced System. The System said that as long as I maintained a cool, aloof persona, I could ascend while lying down. So every day, I sprawled on my cloud bed, delivering the coldest lines in the laziest way possible. When my junior sister Qin Zuiyue challenged me to a sword duel, I didn't even lift an eyelid. "This venerable one's sword draws blood whenever it leaves its sheath." In truth, I had no idea how to use a sword. The day the Demon Venerable attacked, the System suddenly crashed. I huddled in a corner, clutching my quilt. "Hey, buddy, can we talk? Could we fight after I wake up?" As the whole place fell silent, a sigh suddenly came from the clouds. The original System, known as "Dark Night," appeared, pressing a hand to its forehead. "Host, you can't even pretend properly... I'll have to do it myself."
