Hong Kong Island: My Perfect Life of Squandering Money

Hong Kong, 1970. Capital roars, fortunes lie waiting to be made, and neon lights shine alongside the darkness. Huang Shaoqing arrives as a stowaway, carrying the soul of someone from 2025, his mother's dying wish to “take back everything,” and half of a broken jade pendant. At his side are Xiao Fu, a master of Bajiquan, and A Ji, the king of short blades.

His biological father, Huang Qingtian, is the chairman of the Hanzong Group and one of Hong Kong's ten richest men. He has a harem of wives and concubines, but no children. His mother's lifetime of suffering has become a blaze in Huang Shaoqing's heart, and he is determined to be the most lawless spendthrift in this turbulent sea of desire.

He spends money like water, and everyone knows it. He provokes the gangs and answers to no one. Everyone thinks this is the beginning of a family tragedy. But no one knows:

Every penny he squanders is secretly weaving a vast financial empire.

Every enemy he antagonizes will eventually become a stepping stone on his path to power.

When he tears open the curtain on the golden age with his own hands, the mansions of Kowloon Tong and the yachts in Victoria Harbour are nothing more than toys in his palm. Watch Huang Shaoqing carve out an era of his own in this city of desire, using his reputation as a wastrel and his brothers as blades, and build a legendary empire spanning the worlds of power, money, and the underworld.
