Wasteland Life Show

When a sudden catastrophe plunges Earth into the apocalypse, dozens of survivors begin an absurd and biting battle for survival in the wasteland. Scientist Jacob Tracy leads a group of survivors with wildly different personalities, including “King of Trash Talk” Song Doudou, the down-and-out socialite Elizabeth, the honest and brawny Ao Tuo, the self-assured philosopher Simon, and the silent girl Chen Lin. Together, they witness all manner of farcical rivalry, cooperation, betrayal, and mutual aid amid the devastated ruins. The barren world is full of danger, but as they struggle to live in the face of death, they use humor to fight despair, letting “humanity” shine in ways that are absurd yet moving. The story weaves together several main plots, with each protagonist searching for meaning amid life-or-death upheavals. Warmth and satire, despair and hope, continually collide as the story unfolds, until at last everyone joins hands to rekindle the light of hope.
