A Game of Last Resort

Lin Zhiyuan seems like an ordinary newcomer in the workplace, but his keen powers of observation and witty, humorous approach to life help him navigate complicated office politics and social relationships. After a string of life challenges that play out like a “butterfly effect,” he gets caught up in corporate power struggles and an industry crisis. He faces one high-pressure situation after another: an old classmate’s startup goes bankrupt, his best friend gets swept into a storm of public opinion, and his boss sets a trap for him. With clever conversation, quick thinking, and a knack for reading people, Lin Zhiyuan repeatedly turns danger into victory. He grows as a person, and those around him make their own comebacks thanks to him. In the end, he reverses his fate in the face of adversity, breaks through the deadlock, and builds a new world of his own, rising from an “ordinary person” to a “sage of life.”
