The Braised Egg Goes Wild

An incomprehensible catastrophe instantly destroyed human civilization on Earth, leaving only a group of survivors with wildly different personalities and absurd backgrounds to scrape by in the ruins. Resources are desperately scarce, the environment is harsh, and the identities and rules of the old world have vanished. Chen Dai gathers the survivors with his last pot of instant noodles. Together, they cooperate and scheme their way through the ruins, facing food shortages and betrayals of trust, as well as a “skill auction,” an absurd election, and a journey of self-redemption. Through cooperation and conflict, humanity’s good and evil, beauty and ugliness are laid bare, while warmth and hope hide within the absurdity. In the end, the survivors search for themselves and rebuild their convictions, discovering amid desolation and despair that the “meaning of being alive” is far greater than they ever imagined.
