An Anonymous Call on New Year's Eve

Gu Shen and Su Wan's New Year's Eve is shattered by an anonymous phone call.

“Three hours until the countdown ends. Someone will die where you buried something all those years ago.” The static on the line mingles with an eerie countdown, leaving the once-close friends, now long estranged, chilled to the bone. The secret of that abandoned construction site from ten years ago had never been buried by time.

Gu Shen grips his burning-hot phone, the police badge in his pocket digging painfully into him. Su Wan stares at the fireworks bursting outside the window, her trembling fingers tracing the blurred figure of a third person in an old photograph. Calling back gets her a disconnected number, but every ten minutes an anonymous text arrives with a new clue, leading straight to the truth behind that “accident” all those years ago.

As the prelude to the New Year's bells begins, the two are forced to follow the clues and retrace their nightmare. The bones at the abandoned site, the missing witness, the details they've concealed from each other: all point to the same terrifying possibility. The caller is either a vengeful ghost, or someone standing right beside them.

Before the countdown reaches zero, will they unmask the real culprit, or become the next sacrifices?
