Whispers from the Clock in the Old House

Lin Shen inherits the old house of his missing great-uncle, but Su Wan, an antique clock restorer, shows up uninvited. Her grandfather was once partners with Lin Shen’s great-uncle, and he vanished just as mysteriously ten years ago.

The moment they open the dust-covered door, every clock in the house starts chiming at once. The hands of the bronze grandfather clock left behind by the great-uncle are frozen at 3:07, the exact time he disappeared. The safe contains no treasure, only a wooden box marked with faint red fingerprints. The mysterious symbols on the blueprints inside match the pattern of the gears in the striking clock left by Su Wan’s grandfather.

Every midnight, unfamiliar footsteps echo through the old house, and the clock gears rearrange themselves into eerie numbers. When Lin Shen discovers a faded photograph hidden in the grandfather clock’s base, the two realize that the old men’s disappearances are linked to a family secret from twenty years ago. With every tick of the hands, danger draws closer. They must decipher the deathly message hidden in time before the clocks stop.

This synopsis highlights the bond between the two leads and the central mystery surrounding the clocks, matching the fast-paced style of Tomato’s suspense fiction. If you’d like to change the leads’ occupations, add more twists, or include details about specific cases, just let me know.
