The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng

The martial world has never been just about flashing blades. It is also a place of treacherous hearts and hidden dangers.

New to the world of martial arts, Lu Xiaofeng possesses the peerless skills of “One Finger of Spiritual Insight” and “Phoenix Dances Across the Heavens.” He had hoped to roam the world freely, but a seemingly ordinary case, the massacre of a wealthy Jiangnan merchant’s entire family, sweeps him into a bottomless whirlpool. The sole clue points to a mysterious organization: the “Seven-Story Tower.”

Legend has it that the Seven-Story Tower has seven masters whose identities are unknown. They have infiltrated the imperial court and control half the martial world. Lu Xiaofeng joins forces with Xue Bing, a beautiful woman he has only just met, but they are thwarted at every turn, as if every step they take has been anticipated by their foe. To unravel the mystery, he must seek help from several new friends: Hua Manlou, blind yet perceptive and compassionate; Ximen Chuixue, a peerless swordsman, aloof and stern; and the elusive master thief Sikong Zhaixing, who is sometimes friend, sometimes foe.

As their investigation deepens, however, they discover that the Seven-Story Tower has ambitions far greater than they imagined, with its sights set on the supreme ruler within the Forbidden City. Even more unsettling to Lu Xiaofeng, all the clues seem to point to one of the friends he trusts most... A shocking conspiracy surrounding the imperial bloodline slowly comes to light.

This is the ultimate contest of wits and strength. Amid a fog of lies and betrayal, Lu Xiaofeng must distinguish true friends from enemies. From Jiangnan’s misty rains to the windswept sands of the northern deserts, from remote overseas islands to the depths of the imperial palace, he will undergo a transformation in the whirlpool of friendship and duty, conspiracy and truth, becoming a legendary hero from a young swordsman.
