The Legend of Chu Jiangxue

“The wild geese fly south, the escort god reigns in the north; Sima in the west, Liancheng in the east; a river of snow at the summit; smiling as they watch travelers roam the ten thousand miles of the martial world.” This is how the martial world ranks its greatest masters...

The water towns of Jiangnan lay shrouded in damp, chilly mist. At the end of the long street, a tavern called “The Road Home” glowed with dim yellow light. The storyteller struck the table for emphasis. “The supreme master of the martial world is known as ‘A River of Snow.’ He appears like a dragon and vanishes without a trace...” Below the dais, the proprietor, Chu Jiangxue, quietly polished a wine cup. Neither the mist nor the wine haze revealed the look in his eyes. Outside, a storm was brewing.
