Strange Tales of the Uncanny is a series of modern urban supernatural stories inspired by Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio. It combines traditional tales of the strange and supernatural with modern city life, using 50 standalone yet interconnected ghost stories to explore the collision between supernatural phenomena and human nature in contemporary society. Each story is set in a modern city and weaves in contemporary social issues and urban legends, carrying on Pu Songling's creative spirit of "writing ghosts and monsters with exceptional skill, and exposing greed and cruelty to the bone."
