Blood-Red Gold Dust

Blood-Red Gold

Ten years ago, the Cao Gang was massacred, and its young leader, Jiang Muyun, barely escaped. Ten years later, under the alias Yun Yin, he returns to the troubled town of Jinchuan, opens a teahouse, and waits for the chance to take revenge.

But beneath the surface, the small town of Jinchuan is rife with intrigue. The local Sand Wolf Gang, the powerful Zhao family, and the mysterious Black Wind Stronghold are locked in a bitter struggle over the gold deposits. An ancient contract over the gold entangles court conspiracies and underworld feuds with a sinister curse. Jiang Muyun intends to watch from the sidelines, but the kind-hearted healer Su Qianxue repeatedly draws him into action. He also incurs the lasting enmity of Shi Zhentian, the domineering leader of the Sand Wolf Gang.

As the power of the contract awakens, the gold runs red with blood and the miners descend into madness. Jiang Muyun discovers that the tragedy that befell his parents' generation is closely linked to the curse. To uncover the truth and break it, he has no choice but to join forces with Shi Zhentian, an enemy who is also an ally, and Su Qianxue, who bears the duty of protecting the gold. They venture into a thousand-year-old tomb, compete for weapons, and unite against foreign enemies. From shadowy clashes in the teahouse to a deadly showdown on the river, from a secret realm in the snowy mountains to an ancient altar, the three face trials of life and death, while loyalty and hatred are tempered in blood and fire.

At last, at the source of the Bailong River, Jiang Muyun faces the contract's ultimate power and the mastermind behind it all. He must overcome his obsession with revenge and make a choice that will determine the fate of his beloved, his brothers, and the entire town of Jinchuan. When the curse fades and old grudges are temporarily laid to rest, a departing figure leaves behind a sense that a far greater shadow is quietly stirring deep within an ancient glacier... The martial world will never know lasting peace.
