The Mystic Venerable Returns: The City's Greatest Feng Shui Master

Xuanxiao, the great master of the Mystic Sect, is betrayed by his beloved disciple and surrounded by eight Mystic Sects on Jadegreen Mountain. Overcome with grief and rage, he blows himself up, scattering his soul. When he opens his eyes again, he has become Chen Mo, a frail young man from the second-rate Chen family of Nanjiang City. Chen Mo has the “Absolute Yin Body,” is gravely ill and on the brink of death, and suffers abuse at the hands of his stepmother.

Dragging his nearly lifeless body along, Xuanxiao crushes his IV needle and uses the secret of his “Absolute Yin Body” to cow his vicious stepmother. By chance, he discovers the secret behind the “Nine Suns Spring-Revival Formation” backfiring on the dying patriarch of the Lin family, Nanjiang’s top-tier dynasty next door. With a light touch to the old man’s brow, the dying patriarch miraculously awakens and drops to his knees, trembling: “The Ancestor has shown his divine power!”

With the Lin family’s support, Xuanxiao channels the forbidden technique Nine Nether Dark Art with his peerless will, draws baleful energy into his body, forcibly transforms his useless Absolute Yin physique, and condenses his first wisp of Dark Nether true qi. He establishes his might at school, using baleful energy condensed into needles to cow the petty troublemakers. At the Chen family’s birthday banquet, he shatters a jade Buddhist prayer bead to expose an evil presence. Master Mingxin’s single word, “Fellow Daoist,” shocks everyone, and the Lin family patriarch’s personal appearance to offer congratulations stuns the whole gathering!

With the Dark Yin Thorn forged and baleful energy refined into true power, Xuanxiao senses beneath the Lin family’s ancestral estate an aura resembling the life-bound artifact, the “Xuanyang Pendant,” that was switched out in his previous life. He knows that his path back to the peak, to settling the score for his blood feud, and to claiming the summit of the modern world of feng shui has only just begun. The dormant dragon has awakened, and the Dark Mystic Sovereign has returned!
