The Nameless Physician

Synopsis:

Title: The Nameless Healer

Synopsis:

Lin Jian is a young doctor at an ordinary hospital, but she carries an ancient secret: she is an heir to the Ghost Healer tradition. An ancestral amber jade pendant gives her the ability to see and cure supernatural causes of illness.

When a string of bizarre cases strikes the city, patients' lives inexplicably begin to ebb away, and they all claim to have seen a man dressed in ancient robes, conventional medicine is powerless. Lin Jian is forced to call upon her family's inherited abilities and investigate a mystery that lies between life and death.

She discovers that it all began with the vengeful spirit of a physician, consumed by resentment over a feud from a century ago. To save innocent lives, Lin Jian must confront her family's past and resolve a hatred that spans the divide between the living and the dead before time runs out. She must not only use her medical skills to heal the sick and save lives, but also serve as a vessel to heal spirits and dispel their grudges, tending to the wounds that conventional medicine has forgotten.

Blending modern medicine, supernatural suspense, and ancestral secret arts, this novel tells the story of a healer who walks the boundary between reality and the supernatural, and how she balances her dual identities to heal both the living and the dead.
