Reforging the Path of Gods and Demons

[Coexistence with a remnant soul + good-for-nothing’s comeback + war between gods and demons]

On the Nine Heavens Continent, the lineages of gods and demons collapsed ten thousand years ago. The Immortal Court usurped orthodox rule and slaughtered all who opposed it.

Ye Chen, an illegitimate son of the Ye family of Qingyang City, has his spiritual roots crippled and is cast out by his clan. On the brink of death, he unexpectedly awakens the remnant soul of an ancient Demon God sleeping within him: Demon Venerable Chonglou, who once stood against the Immortal Court as an equal.

“Boy, lend me your body so I can walk the path of gods and demons once more. I’ll teach you the Myriad Demons Devour Heaven Art and help you defy fate!”

With two souls sharing one body, Ye Chen reforges his shattered roots and awakens a Chaos Spiritual Root. He slays his family’s enemies with his sword, shocking the entire city. Chonglou’s scattered memories hold not only the coordinates of ancient secret realms and clues to imperial weapons, but also reveal the Immortal Court’s shocking conspiracy to rewrite history and destroy the lineages of gods and demons.

Guided by the remnant soul, Ye Chen claims treasures in the mountain range of demonic beasts, overwhelms prodigies at the alchemy convention, and breaks through to new realms in secret realms. Through Ye Chen, Chonglou reunites the old forces of the gods and demons, breaks seals, and gradually awakens the sleeping power of the Demon God.

When the Immortal Court senses the aura of gods and demons, a million heavenly soldiers descend. Ye Chen stands with sword in hand as Chonglou’s remnant soul reveals its might: “Puny Immortal Court! Today, you’ll repay a hundredfold the blood debt you owe the gods and demons!”

A good-for-nothing rises, the gods and demons return. In this life, he will shatter the Celestial Palace and rebuild the path of gods and demons across the Nine Heavens!
