The Ancient Emperor Returns

On the Cangxuan Continent, countless races vie for power while the Immortal Court usurps the throne. The Ancient Emperor fell ten thousand years ago.

Ye Chen was once a discarded disciple of the Qingyang Sect. But just as his fiancée and senior brother joined forces to destroy his spiritual root and drive him to the brink of death, he unexpectedly awakened the remnant soul of an Ancient Emperor sleeping within him: Mo Yuan, the Great Emperor Xuanhuang, who once ruled the Three Realms.

“From this day on, your body will carry on my imperial legacy, and I will personally avenge your enemies!”

With the remnant soul inside him, Ye Chen obtains the Imperial Dao Heart Sutra, restores his ruined meridians, and slays the traitors with his sword, stunning the entire Qingyang City. The fragments of Mo Yuan’s memories hold not only cultivation arts that defy heaven and coordinates to ancient secret realms, but also reveal the shocking conspiracy behind the Immortal Court’s murder of the emperor and seizure of power.

One man and one soul, both teacher and friend. Guided by the imperial soul, Ye Chen seizes treasures in the Demon Beast Mountains, kills powerful foes at an auction, and makes a name for himself throughout the world at the Alchemy Dao Grand Gathering. Through Ye Chen, Mo Yuan reunites his old followers, breaks the seals, and gradually awakens his sleeping imperial weapons.

When the Immortal Court senses the aura of the Ancient Emperor, an army of a million marches on them. Ye Chen stands with sword in hand as Mo Yuan’s imperial might awakens: “You brats from the Immortal Court, today you’ll repay everything you owed me, with interest!”

A discarded disciple rises, and the Ancient Emperor returns. In this life, they will trample the heavens and rebuild the order of the Three Realms!
